As a Consultant Periodontist and Senior Clinical Lecturer with over 25 years of experience across general and specialist clinical practice, postgraduate training, and dental practice leadership, Pegah has a well-established record in advanced periodontal care, multidisciplinary patient management, clinical development and professional assessment.
Currently working at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, she contributes at a consultant level in a leading teaching environment, combining specialist clinical practice with extensive involvement in postgraduate training, lecturing and undergraduate teaching, and serving as an examiner for the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and England, reflecting her commitment to maintaining and advancing professional standards within dentistry.
Pegah’s experience spans hospital, referral, and primary care settings, supported by her prior ownership of a dental practice, which provides her with a comprehensive understanding of clinical delivery, patient care standards, and the operational realities of dental services. More recently, she completed a Certificate in Dental Law and Ethics, strengthening her knowledge of regulatory frameworks and reinforcing her interest in roles that combine clinical expertise with medico-legal insight.
Pegah has a particular interest in all surgical aspects of periodontal therapy, including periodontal regenerative procedures, mucogingival surgeries, and implant-related complications, such as peri-implantitis.
