Endodontics

Dr Andrew Powell-Cullingford, GDC no. 62052

Dr Andrew Powell-Cullingford, GDC no. 62052, qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1987 and was awarded a Master’s Degree in Endodontics in 1991. He has gained experience in the USA at the Pacific Endodontic Research Foundation and with renowned endodontic specialists and continues to travel regularly to the USA to attend lectures and courses. Andrew is also a member of the American Association of Endodontists, and a member and past President of the British Endodontic Society.

Orthodontics

Allan Jones, GDC no. 58552

Allan Jones, GDC no. 58552, qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1983. Studied Orthodontics at King’s College School of Medicine & Dentistry where he gained an MSc in Orthodontics. Holds a fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Appointed Senior Registrar at Eastman Dental Hospital, the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street and Mayday University Hospital and in 1995 became consultant at Kingston and Queen Mary’s University Hospitals. He holds teaching posts at Guy’s Hospital and the Eastman Dental Hospital. Allan joined the practice in 1998.

Orthodontics

Rachel O’Brien, GDC no.176305

Rachel O’Brien, GDC no.176305, graduated with Honours from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland in 2008. She gained her Membership in Dental Surgery in 2010 and undertook her Specialist Training in Orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital. Awarded distinction for her Masters of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics, she received the Hawley Russell Research Award in 2012. She qualified as a Specialist Orthodontist in 2013. She gained her Fellowship in 2016 and appointed as a Consultant Orthodontist at the Eastman Dental Hospital and Kingston Hospital. Rachel provides a wide variety of braces and carries out treatment for routine and complex orthodontic problems in children and adults.

As a Consultant Periodontist and Senior Clinical Lecturer with over 25 years of experience across general and specialist clinical practice, postgraduate training, and dental practice leadership, Pegah has a well-established record in advanced periodontal care, multidisciplinary patient management, clinical development and professional assessment.

Currently working at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, she contributes at a consultant level in a leading teaching environment, combining specialist clinical practice with extensive involvement in postgraduate training, lecturing and undergraduate teaching, and serving as an examiner for the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and England, reflecting her commitment to maintaining and advancing professional standards within dentistry.

Pegah’s experience spans hospital, referral, and primary care settings, supported by her prior ownership of a dental practice, which provides her with a comprehensive understanding of clinical delivery, patient care standards, and the operational realities of dental services. More recently, she completed a Certificate in Dental Law and Ethics, strengthening her knowledge of regulatory frameworks and reinforcing her interest in roles that combine clinical expertise with medico-legal insight.

Pegah has a particular interest in all surgical aspects of periodontal therapy, including periodontal regenerative procedures, mucogingival surgeries, and implant-related complications, such as peri-implantitis.

Implants

Dr Javid Mustafa, GDC no.78123

Dr Javid Mustafa, GDC no.78123, qualified from The Royal London Hospital in 2000 with distinction in clinical dentistry. He is a registered specialist in Prosthodontics and his clinical expertise includes oral surgery and surgical dentistry, dental implants and associated bone grafting in addition to restorative dentistry.

Javid began his surgical training in Maxillo-Facial surgery dealing with head, neck, cancer, facial deformities, trauma and medically compromised patients, in Portsmouth/Royal Naval Hospital Haslar and St.George’s Hospital. In 2003 he gained his membership from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Shortly after this he was appointed as a SHO in Restorative dentistry at Guy’s Hospital, leading to selection to specialise in Prosthodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute, London.

He obtained a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from the Eastman Dental Hospital in 2007. In 2008 he was awarded his Membership in Restorative Dentistry (MRD) subsequently he was awarded the prestigious Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDS) from The Royal College of Surgeons of England. Javid is also an Honorary Lecturer at The Royal College of Surgeons of England.

General Practitioner

Dr Claudia Medina Espinet, GDC no. 119507

Dr Claudia is a friendly and experienced family dentist with a real passion for cosmetic dentistry. After qualifying with a DDS degree in 2000 from the University of the Andes in Venezuela, she completed the Overseas Registration Examinations with the UK General Dental Council in 2013 and has since been caring for patients in private practices across London and Surrey, UK.

She has a special interest in creating natural-looking smiles and particularly enjoys treatments such as cosmetic bonding, veneers, teeth whitening, and metal-free, all-ceramic crowns. For Dr Claudia, cosmetic dentistry is where science meets artistry — she loves the process of carefully shaping and enhancing teeth to bring out each patient’s unique smile.
Dr Claudia keeps up to date with the latest evidence-based bonding techniques and materials, allowing her to deliver beautiful, long-lasting results. Her approach is always gentle and conservative, focusing on preserving natural tooth structure and designing treatments around each patient’s individual needs and wishes.

She takes the time to really listen to her patients and works closely with them to achieve results that feel natural, comfortable, and confidence-boosting.

Outside of work, Dr Claudia enjoys travelling, exploring art (which often inspires her work), and spending time outdoors on countryside walks with her family and their much-loved dog, [Luna].

Hygienist

Vicki Lane, GDC no. 5168

I am an experienced Dental Hygienist who qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1997, where I was proud to be awarded the School Prize on graduation. With many years in clinical practice, I provide gentle yet thorough care, helping patients maintain excellent oral health in a calm and supportive environment.

I have extensive experience working alongside a periodontist, treating and managing patients with periodontal disease, and I take particular care in helping nervous or anxious patients feel comfortable and at ease during their appointments.

Alongside my dental career, I also run a permanent makeup business from home, combining clinical precision with an eye for aesthetics.

Hygienist

Caroline Muir, GDC number: 141432

Caroline Muir started as a Dental Hygienist at Fairoak in 2014. She had previously worked as a Dental Nurse for Dr Andrew Powell-Cullingford for seven years prior to training as a Hygienist at King’s , Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals.

She qualified in Dental Hygiene and Therapy in 2008. Caroline has previously worked for a Periodontist and has gained experience dealing with severe gum disease and patients with dental phobias. She has a gentle approach and takes care to make her patients feel at ease.

Nurse

Elaine Myers, GCD Number: 134194

Elaine is a highly qualified dental nurse. She has been committed to providing excellent patient care for over 20 years at Fairoak and supports the dental team in delivering quality treatments, helping patients feeling safe.

She enjoys spending time with family and friends, she loves walks and cycling.

Orthodontic Nurse

Clare Bull, GDC Number: 127675

As an orthodontic nurse I assist in caring for patients who need treatment to correct the alignment for their teeth and jaws. I support the orthodontist in many clinical and administrative tasks as well as assisting the orthodontist during the procedure such as fitting braces, adjusting wires etc.

I ensure that the orthodontic procedures runs smoothly and make sure that the patient feels comfortable during treatments.

I am committed to ongoing professional development. I have had over 25 years experience in orthodontics.

Nurse

Nicole Watts, GDC Number: 272582

My name is Nicole, and I am a qualified Dental Nurse registered with the GDC since 2017. I have been working as a Dental Nurse since 2014 and haven’t looked back!

I joined the team at Fairoak in 2020 and have since gained valuable experience assisting with a wide range of dental treatments and procedures.

I am dedicated to providing a high standard of patient care and supporting both patients during their visits and assisting the clinicians to ensure appointments run smoothly and comfortably. I thoroughly enjoy being part of the Fairoak team.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me enjoying trips away, spending time with family and friends, attending concerts, or relaxing at home with my two cats who I adore.

Louise Graham, GDC Number: 129236

Louise is a dental nurse with over 23 years experience ranging from paediatric, orthodontic and general dentistry. She is also part of our administration team and strives to give comprehensive care.

Louise is passionate about her job and helping patients of all ages feel comfortable and confident about coming to the dentist.

Receptionist

Shez Harris

Shez is a friendly dental receptionist focused on providing excellent patient care. She has worked in dentistry for over 40 years and enjoys it immensely.

In her spare time she enjoys visiting art galleries, going on long walks and spending time with her family.

We operate a continuing programme of instruction in the prevention of dental disease.
